Snow squalls Monday into Tuesday.

What:
Near zero visibility in heavy snow and blowing snow.
Total snowfall amounts approaching 25 cm.

When:
Monday morning into Tuesday.

Additional information:
A colder air mass in the wake of a departing low pressure system is expected to result in the development of lake effect snow squalls off Lake Huron. Widespread blowing snow is expected to be the primary concern as northwesterly wind gusts of 70 km/h or greater are expected. Snowfall totals near 25 cm are also possible by Tuesday morning.

Travel may be extremely hazardous. Visibility may be suddenly reduced to near zero at times. Road closures are possible.

What:
Total rain and freezing rain amounts 15 to 30 mm.

When:
Beginning this morning and ending early Monday morning. 

Additional information:
Rain will begin this morning becoming heavy at times through the afternoon and evening. Precipitation may begin as freezing rain briefly before changing over to rain with little ice accretion expected. The rain will ease early Monday morning as it begins to transition to snow.

If possible, clear storm drains of snow and ice.

Water will likely pool on roads and in low-lying areas.

Strong southwesterly and northwesterly wind gusts near 90 km/h.

When:
Beginning Monday morning and easing Monday night.

Additional information.
Strong southwesterly winds are expected to develop Monday morning becoming northwesterly in the afternoon. Wind gusts near 90 km/h are possible with both the southwesterly and northwesterly winds during the day Monday. The winds will ease through Monday night but gusts of 60 km/h to 70 km/h are still likely.
