Locations: Guysborough County and eastern Cape Breton.

Additional rainfall: 10 to 40 mm.

Time span: continuing today.

Remarks: Persistent bands of heavy rain and thundershower activity continue this morning with possible rainfall rates in excess of 15 mm per hour. The tropical moisture associated with this airmass can lead to locally very heavy downpours. Conditions are forecast to improve slowly from east to west later today.

Water will likely pool on roads and in low-lying areas. Some property damage is possible.

Rainfall warnings are issued when significant impacts are expected due to rainfall amounts.
