Hot and humid weather continues. Locations: central Labrador and the coast from Postville-Makkovik to Lodge Bay. Time span: ending Thursday evening in parts of southeastern Labrador and ending tonight elsewhere. Maximum temperatures today: 31 to 33 degrees Celsius (Humidex 38 to 41). Minimum overnight temperatures tonight: 18 to 22 degrees Celsius. Maximum temperatures Thursday: 23 to 28 degrees Celsius, warmest in the southeast. Remarks: Much of the region will remain under a hot air mass today. A moderating trend will begin tonight or Thursday with increasing cloud cover and possible showers, though temperatures may stay warm enough over parts of the southeast to warrant a continuation of the heat warning until Thursday night. ### Heat warnings are issued when very high temperature or humidity conditions are expected to pose an elevated risk of heat illnesses, such as heat stroke or heat exhaustion.
