Yellow Advisory - Blowing Snow
Issued: 1:49 AM Jan. 21, 2026 – Environment and Climate Change Canada
Poor visibility in snow and blowing snow is expected in some locations.

Hazard:  Poor visibilities in blowing snow.

Location:  Portions of southern Saskatchewan.

Timing:  Beginning overnight Tuesday into Wednesday afternoon.

Remarks: A strong cold front surging south through the province will give strong northwest winds with gusts as high as 80 km/h beginning overnight into Wednesday morning.  These winds will combine with light snow to produce areas of poor visibility in blowing snow through the day. Conditions will improve by Wednesday evening.

Travel will likely be hazardous due to near-zero visibility.

Blowing snow advisories are issued when widespread poor visibility in blowing snow is expected.
