Freezing rain is expected over some areas.

Locations: Portions of southern Saskatchewan including southwestern Manitoba, extending from the east of Kindersley, southeast through Regina, and to the US border southeast of Estevan into southwestern Manitoba. 

Freezing rain duration: Beginning early Tuesday morning until Tuesday afternoon. 

Remarks: A low pressure system from Alberta will bring a large swath of freezing rain to portions of southern Saskatchewan beginning Tuesday morning and is expected to taper off by Tuesday afternoon.

Roads and walkways will likely become icy and slippery.

Freezing rain warnings are issued when rain falling in sub-zero temperatures creates ice build-up and icy surfaces.
