Snow has developed over northwestern Alberta, and will spread east through the Edmonton area this morning. Snow will fall heavy at times, with rapid accumulation likely affecting the morning commute in some areas.

Snow will taper off from northwest to southeast this afternoon, with heavy snow ending in the Edmonton area this evening.
