Significant snowfall is expected.

Locations: eastern Newfoundland.

Total snowfall: near 15 cm.

Time span: Wednesday morning to Wednesday evening.

Remarks: Gusty winds accompanying the snow will cause reduced visibility at times in blowing snow. Snow, at times heavy, may mix with ice pellets at times over portions of the southern Avalon Peninsula Wednesday afternoon. The snow will eventually ease to flurries or freezing drizzle Wednesday night.
