Snow, ice pellets, freezing rain, rain, and gusty winds are expected later today and tonight. Locations: Channel–Port aux Basques and vicinity and Bay St. George. Snow and ice pellet amounts: 5 to 15 cm. Rainfall: 5 to 10 mm with locally up to 20 mm possible over Channel-Port aux Basques and vicinity. Remarks: Snow will begin this afternoon before transitioning through a period of ice pellets and freezing rain this evening, then to rain as temperatures rise above zero around midnight or just after. Snow, ice, and strong winds may make travel slow or hazardous. Rain and melting snow can result in pooling of water. Roads and walkways may become slippery and difficult to navigate. Consider adjusting travel plans to avoid the most adverse conditions. ### Please continue to monitor alerts and forecasts issued by Environment Canada.
