Rain and thunderstorms expected for the weekend

What: Total rainfall amounts of 25 to 50 millimetres are expected. However, additional amounts from thunderstorms may lead to totals locally in excess of 50 millimetres.

When:
Western Quebec regions: until overnight Saturday
Southern and central Quebec regions: from this evening into Sunday morning

Where: Quebec City, Mont-Laurier, Témiscamingue, Eastern Townships, Beauce, Bois-Francs, Lanaudière, Laurentians

Additional information:
A weather system will track across southern Quebec this weekend. It could potentially generate significant rainfall amounts until Sunday. The heavier precipitation is expected overnight tonight and on Saturday.

Water may accumulate locally. Some rivers may see an increased flow and higher water levels.
