Heavy rain and strong winds are expected.

Periods of rain will begin today and continue into the weekend bringing general rainfall totals of 40 to 50 mm. Some areas may see up to 80 mm, however there is some uncertainty on where the heaviest rain will fall. The heaviest rain is expected to fall Saturday evening.

Strong northerly winds will also develop Saturday evening, with gusts as high as 80 km/h. The strong winds combined with recent rainfall could result in trees being uprooted.
