A prolonged period of hot and humid weather continues.

Locations: mainland Nova Scotia.

Time span: persisting through the weekend for western counties, with some improvement in the north and east this evening.

Maximum temperature today: 31 degrees Celsius (Humidex near 38).
Minimum temperatures: near 19 degrees Celsius.
Maximum temperature Sunday: 27 to 30 degrees Celsius (Humidex near 35 to 38).

Remarks: A hot and humid air mass will continue to bring a period of high daytime temperatures and elevated Humidex values. Nighttime lows are also forecast to stay warm, providing little to no relief. Conditions should improve for some northern and eastern areas tonight however elsewhere warning level temperatures and/or Humidex may persist through the weekend across the western mainland.
