Orange Warning - Snow Squall

Intense snow squalls off Georgian Bay today and tonight. What: Snowfall accumulations of 20 to 45 cm. Locally higher amounts possible. Near zero visibility in areas of heavy snow and blowing snow. Peak snowfall rates of 5 to 10 cm per hour. When: Continuing through tonight. Additional information: A very intense snow band will become nearly stationary today, resulting in significant snowfall amounts. Lake effect snow squalls are expected to shift south of the area tonight as winds become northerly. ### Travel will likely be extremely hazardous. Road closures are possible.
