A period of hot and humid weather is expected. Time span: Wednesday through Thursday. Maximum daytime temperatures: 28 to 30 degrees Celsius (Humidex 34 to 38). Minimum nighttime temperatures: 16 to 19 degrees Celsius. Locations: St. John's and vicinity and Avalon Peninsula North. ### Heat warnings are issued when very high temperature or humidity conditions are expected to pose an elevated risk of heat illnesses, such as heat stroke or heat exhaustion.
