Significant snowfall, ice pellets and prolonged freezing rain possible on Friday. Timing: Friday afternoon until Saturday morning. Remarks: Precipitation will begin as snow on Friday afternoon before transitioning to ice pellets or freezing rain by Friday evening, then to rain over southern Cape Breton Island on Friday night. The potential exists for significant snowfall accumulations over northern Inverness and Victoria counties by Saturday morning. Snowfall and freezing rain warnings may be issued as the system draws nearer and confidence increases. ### Please continue to monitor alerts and forecasts issued by Environment Canada.
