Tornado Warning

At 6:24 p.m. EDT, Environment Canada meteorologists are tracking a severe thunderstorm that is possibly producing a tornado. Damaging winds, large hail and locally intense rainfall are also possible. At 6:25P.M. EDT a tornado located over Dutton travelling 20 knots southeast will track southeast over Lake Erie ### This is a very dangerous and potentially life-threatening situation. Tornado warnings are issued when a thunderstorm is producing or is likely to produce a tornado.

Conditions this afternoon and evening are favourable for the development of squalls with wind gusts up to 45 knots and hail up to toonie size. ### Please continue to monitor alerts and forecasts issued by Environment Canada. Yellow Watch - Severe Thunderstorm

Conditions are favourable for the development of severe thunderstorms that may be capable of producing strong wind gusts and large hail. What: Wind gusts up to 90 km/h. Up to toonie size hail. Risk of a tornado. When: This afternoon and evening. Additional information: Showers and thunderstorms are expected to intensify early this afternoon. Once the storms have intensified there is a risk of a brief tornado. ### Local utility outages are possible. Severe thunderstorm watches are issued when conditions are favourable for the development of thunderstorms capable of producing damaging hail, wind or rain.
