The Northwestern City of Petersburg in south central Virginia... * WHEN...Until 345 AM EDT Wednesday. * IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Numerous roads remain closed due to flooding. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 841 PM EDT, local law enforcement reported flooding across Hopewell. Flooding is already occurring. Between 4 and 6 inches of rain have fallen. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Hopewell, Colonial Heights, Fort Lee, Virginia State University, Chester, Ettrick, Meadowville, Birchett Estate and Jordan Point Country Club. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
