Severe thunderstorms are likely to produce damaging winds, large hailstones and heavy rainfall that may lead to flash flooding in the warning area over the next several hours. Locations which may be affected include Newcastle, Gosford, Yass, far northern parts of the ACT, Cessnock, Maitland, Braidwood, Raymond Terrace, Wallsend, Toronto, Morisset, Wyong and The Entrance.
Severe thunderstorms are no longer occurring in the Snowy Mountains district and the warning for this district is CANCELLED.
2 cm hail was observed at Berowra at approx. 3.50 pm.
40 mm of rainfall was recorded at Yalwal in the 30 minutes to 2:00 pm.
28 mm of rainfall was recorded at Oberon (Jenolan Caves Road) in the 30 minutes to 1:20 pm.

This thunderstorm is moving towards the east. It is forecast to affect Gosford, Wyong and Dooralong by 4:45 pm and Budgewoi, Swansea and Lake Macquarie by 5:15 pm.
