Sheep Graziers Warning

Sheep graziers are warned that cold temperatures, heavy rain and showers and southwesterly winds are expected during Wednesday and Thursday. Areas likely to be affected include the Illawarra, South Coast, Central Tablelands, Southern Tablelands, South West Slopes, Riverina, Snowy Mountains and Australian Capital Territory forecast districts and parts of the Hunter, Northern Tablelands, North West Slopes & Plains and Central West Slopes & Plains forecast districts. There is a risk of losses of lambs and sheep exposed to these conditions.
Severe Weather Warning for Heavy Rainfall

For SOUTHEASTERN AREAS: HEAVY RAINFALL which may lead to FLASH FLOODING is forecast from Wednesday afternoon for parts of the Illawarra, northern South Coast and Southern Tablelands. Six-hourly rainfall totals between 60 to 100 mm are possible with 24-hour totals up to 140 mm. DAMAGING SOUTHERLY WIND GUSTS with peak gusts of around 90 km/h are also expected along the coastal fringe from early Thursday morning. Heavy rainfall and damaging wind gusts are expected to have eased here by mid-morning Thursday. For NORTHERN RANGES: DAMAGING WESTERLY WIND GUSTS with peak gusts of around 90 km/h are expected to develop over parts of the Hunter, Mid North Coast and Northern Tablelands from Thursday morning, lasting into the afternoon. Locations which may be affected include Wollongong, Goulburn, Nowra, Batemans Bay, Moruya Heads, Bowral and the Barrington Tops.
