Severe Weather Warning for Damaging Wind

DAMAGING WINDS averaging 55 to 65 km/h with peak gusts of around 90 km/h are possible over the warning area from late this evening, most likely about the hills and foothills on Thursday morning between 2:00 am and 10:00 am AWST. Winds are expected to ease below warning thresholds by midday Thursday. Gusty easterly winds are relatively common this time of year, however winds are likely to be strong and may cause damage to property and make road conditions hazardous. Easterly winds of this strength generally occur around 1 to 3 times per year. Locations which may be affected include Gingin, Harvey, Armadale, Dwellingup, Ellenbrook, Kalamunda, Midland, Mundaring and Pinjarra.
