For ELEVATED PARTS of CENTRAL AND NORTHWESTERN TASMANIA: Northeasterly to northwesterly DAMAGING WINDS averaging 60 to 80 km/h with peak gusts of 110 km/h are likely, easing below warning thresholds by Wednesday morning.
For KING ISLAND and parts of the NORTHWEST COAST: Strong northeasterly to northwesterly winds averaging 50 to 60 km/h with DAMAGING WIND GUSTS of around 100 km/h are possible, easing below warning thresholds by Wednesday morning.
Locations which may be affected include Burnie, Currie, Smithton, Zeehan, Waratah, Rosebery and Lake St Clair.
A 102 km/h gust was recorded at Mount Read, with sustained winds of 72 km/h in the period about 1:30 pm.
Sheep Graziers Warning

Sheep graziers are warned that cold temperatures, rain and northerly winds are expected during Tuesday and Wednesday. Areas likely to be affected include parts of the King Island, North West Coast, Central North and Midlands forecast districts. There is a risk of losses of lambs and sheep exposed to these conditions.
