Sheep graziers are warned that cold temperatures, heavy rain and showers and southwesterly winds are expected during Tuesday. Areas likely to be affected include the Mid North Coast and Illawarra forecast districts and parts of the Hunter, Northern Tablelands, South Coast, Central Tablelands, Southern Tablelands, Snowy Mountains and Australian Capital Territory forecast districts. There is a risk of losses of lambs and sheep exposed to these conditions.
Severe Weather Warning for Damaging Wind

For coastal parts of the MID NORTH COAST: DAMAGING SOUTH TO SOUTHWESTERLY WINDS averaging 60 to 70 km/h with peak gusts around 100 km/h are possible from Tuesday morning, becoming likely from the afternoon onwards.
For SOUTHERN AND CENTRAL COASTAL FRINGE, including SYDNEY, WOLLONGONG AND NEWCASTLE: DAMAGING SOUTH TO SOUTHWESTERLY WINDS averaging 60 to 70 km/h with peak gusts around 100 km/h are likely to develop from Tuesday afternoon, extending from Point Perpendicular to Port Macquarie.
For NORTHERN GREAT DIVIDING RANGE: DAMAGING WEST TO SOUTHWESTERLY WINDS averaging 55 to 65 km/h with peak gusts around 90 km/h are likely to develop during Tuesday evening.
Subject to the position and strength of the low pressure system, risks are likely to persist into Wednesday and potentially through to Thursday for parts of NSW .

Locations which may be affected include Taree, Newcastle, Sydney, Wollongong, Port Macquarie and Tenterfield.
