Severe thunderstorms are likely to produce damaging winds in the warning area over the next several hours. Locations which may be affected include Kingaroy, Ipswich, Cherbourg, Jimboomba, Kilcoy, Lowood, Boonah, Beaudesert, Nanango, Esk, Murgon and Wondai.

Hazardous Surf Warning for Gold Coast Waters

          Maximum temperatures increasing to the high thirties and low forties over the Southeast Coast and Wide Bay and Burnett, and reaching the low to mid forties further inland. Overnight minimum temperatures in the low to high twenties, reaching the low thirties far inland over the Channel Country. 

Severe heatwave conditions will continue and extend through most of southern QLD and are expected to persist well into this week.  Locations likely to be impacted include Brisbane Metropolitan Area, Birdsville, Charleville, Dalby, Goondiwindi, Longreach, Roma, Stanthorpe, Thargomindah and Toowoomba.
