Severe Weather Warning for Damaging Wind

DAMAGING NORTHERLY WINDS averaging 60 to 70 km/h with peak gusts up to around 100 km/h are likely to continue about the eastern ranges into this afternoon. BLIZZARD conditions are forecast above 1400 metres into the afternoon. Winds and blizzard conditions are expected to ease below warning thresholds throughout Victoria by late this afternoon. Locations which may be affected include Falls Creek, Mt Baw Baw, Mt Hotham, Mt Buller and Omeo. Recent significant wind observations: 104 km/h gust with winds averaging 78 km/h at Mt Hotham around 10:15 am. 100 km/h gust with winds averaging 69 km/h at Mt Buller around 10:00 am.
Sheep Graziers Warning

Sheep graziers are warned that cold temperatures, rain and showers and northerly winds are expected during Saturday. Areas likely to be affected include parts of the North East and Central forecast districts. There is a risk of losses of lambs and sheep exposed to these conditions.
