Severe Weather Warning for Heavy Rainfall

HEAVY RAINFALL which may lead to FLASH FLOODING is forecast this evening and overnight tonight for parts of the southwestern Carpentaria, eastern Gregory, northwestern Barkly, and northern Tanami districts. Localised HEAVY RAINFALL is also possible during the day on Tuesday. Six hourly rainfall totals between 80 and 100 mm are likely, with localised falls up to 120 mm. HEAVY RAINFALL may continue on Tuesday night but is expected to ease on Wednesday morning. Various Flood Watches and Flood Warnings are current for the Northern Territory.See https://www.bom.gov.au/weather-and-climate/warnings-and-alerts for more information. Locations which may be affected include Elliott, Kalkarindji, Lajamanu, Daly Waters, Top Springs and Daguragu. 183 mm was recorded at Gilnockie in the 24 hrs to 9am.
