Sheep graziers are warned that cold temperatures, showers and westerly winds are expected during today and Tuesday. Areas likely to be affected include the Southern Tablelands and Snowy Mountains forecast districts and parts of the Central Tablelands, South West Slopes and Australian Capital Territory forecast districts. There is a risk of losses of lambs and sheep exposed to these conditions.

DAMAGING WINDS averaging 60 to 70 km/h with peak gusts of around 100 km/h are likely about Alpine areas above 1400 m from early Tuesday morning. Locations above 1900 m may see stronger winds averaging 80 km/h.
Winds are expected to ease by Tuesday night.
Locations which may be affected include Mount Ginini, Thredbo, Perisher Valley, Charlotte Pass, Cabramurra and Selwyn.
