Severe thunderstorms are likely to produce heavy rainfall that may lead to flash flooding in the warning area over the next several hours. Locations which may be affected include Jackadgery, Emmaville, Woodenbong and Baryulgil. Severe thunderstorms are no longer occurring in the Mid North Coast and North West Slopes and Plains districts and the warning for these districts is CANCELLED. 49 mm was recorded at Glen Innes Research Station in 1 hour to 1:45 pm. 49 mm was recorded at Riverstone (Macintyre River) in 1 hour to 11:45 am. 50.0 mm was recorded at Inverell in 1 hour to 11:36 am

Maximum temperatures are in the high twenties to mid thirties and overnight minimum temperatures in the mid teens to low twenties.
Severe heatwave conditions have peaked and are continuing to ease from the south and west as milder southeast to southwesterly winds extend across the State.
