DAMAGING NORTHWESTERLY WINDS averaging 60 to 70 km/h with peak gusts around 100 km/h are likely.
For ALPINE PEAKS above 1900 metres: DAMAGING NORTHWESTERLY WINDS averaging 80 to 90 km/h with peak gusts of around 115 km/h are likely.
Damaging winds are no longer expected about coastal parts of the South Coast, though conditions may remain gusty. Winds are expected to ease over the South Coast ranges later this afternoon and over the Snowy Mountains later this evening.
Locations which may be affected include Cooma, Braidwood, Nerriga, Jindabyne, Thredbo and Adaminaby.

Sheep graziers are warned that cold temperatures, showers and westerly winds are expected during Friday and Saturday. Areas likely to be affected include parts of the South West Slopes, Snowy Mountains and Australian Capital Territory forecast districts. There is a risk of losses of lambs and sheep exposed to these conditions.
