Strong Wind Warning for Storm Bay, Channel, Central Plateau Lakes, South West Lakes, Far North West Coast, Central North Coast, Banks Strait and Franklin Sound, East of Flinders Island, Upper East Coast, Lower East Coast and South East Coast

Strong to DAMAGING NORTHWESTERLY WINDS of 55 to 65 km/h with peak gusts of around of 100 km/h are expected to persist over western and central Tasmania, extending to eastern and southern parts of the state, including Hobart, during the late evening. DAMAGING WIND GUSTS may reach up to 120 km/h at exposed elevated areas.
DAMAGING WINDS are expected to ease below warning thresholds during Tuesday morning, before redeveloping during Tuesday afternoon.
Locations which may be affected include Swansea, Strahan, New Norfolk, Hobart, Geeveston and Dover.
