Gale Warning for Adelaide Metropolitan Waters, Far West Coast, Upper West Coast, Lower West Coast, Central Coast, South Central Coast, Spencer Gulf, Gulf St Vincent, Investigator Strait, Upper South East Coast and Lower South East Coast

Sheep graziers are warned that cold temperatures, rain and showers and strong southwesterly winds are expected during today and Saturday. Areas likely to be affected include the Mount Lofty Ranges, Lower Eyre Peninsula, Yorke Peninsula, Kangaroo Island, Mid North, Murraylands, Upper South East and Lower South East forecast districts and parts of the West Coast, Eastern Eyre Peninsula, Flinders, Riverland and North East Pastoral forecast districts. There is a risk of losses of lambs and sheep exposed to these conditions.

DAMAGING WINDS averaging 60 to 70 km/h with peak gusts of around 100 km/h are forecast to continue throughout the day today in a west to southwesterly airstream behind the front, mostly associated with showers and thunderstorms. Peak gusts may reach 115 km/h about the Lower South East coastline during this afternoon and evening.
Conditions are expected to gradually ease from the west during the afternoon and evening, although may continue into the late evening over the Lower South East.
Locations which may be affected include Adelaide, Port Lincoln, Whyalla, Renmark, Mount Gambier and Ceduna.
