Sheep Graziers Warning

Sheep graziers are warned that cold temperatures, rain and showers and northeasterly winds are expected during Friday. Areas likely to be affected include the Mallee, Wimmera, Northern Country, North Central and South West forecast districts and parts of the North East, Central and East Gippsland forecast districts. There is a risk of losses of lambs and sheep exposed to these conditions.
Severe Weather Warning for Damaging Wind

For the GRAMPIANS and CENTRAL RANGES, including the OUTER NORTHERN and EASTERN SUBURBS of MELBOURNE: DAMAGING NORTHERLY WINDS averaging 55 to 65 km/h, with peak gusts of around 100 km/h are possible from late Friday afternoon, becoming likely throughout the evening and into early Saturday morning. For the EASTERN RANGES: DAMAGING NORTHERLY WINDS averaging 60 to 70 km/h with peak gusts of around 110 km/h are possible from late Friday evening, continuing throughout Saturday morning. Blizzard conditions are also possible for alpine areas above 1200 metres. Conditions are expected to ease from the west on Saturday, over the Grampians before sunrise and over the Central and Eastern Ranges by mid Saturday morning. Locations which may be affected include Ballarat, Daylesford, Falls Creek, Yarra Glen, Dargo and Mt Baw Baw.
