Strong Wind Warning for Hunter Coast, Sydney Coast, Illawarra Coast, Batemans Coast and Eden Coast

ALPINE PEAKS ABOVE 1900 METRES: DAMAGING NORTHWESTERLY WINDS averaging 80 to 90 km/h are forecast to develop from late morning Tuesday. Isolated gusts of 100 to 110 km/h are possible.
ELSEWHERE IN THE WARNING AREA: DAMAGING NORTHWESTERLY WIND GUSTS with peak gusts of around 90 km/h are expected to develop over the remainder of the southern ranges during Tuesday afternoon before extending to the central ranges Tuesday evening.
Blizzard conditions are likely across the western Snowy Mountains above 1500 metres from late Tuesday afternoon. The NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service recommends that back country travel be postponed until conditions improve.
Winds are forecast to ease below thresholds by dawn on Wednesday.
Locations which may be affected include Thredbo, Perisher, Goulburn, Katoomba, Lithgow, Oberon and Crookwell.

Sheep graziers are warned that cold temperatures, showers and northwesterly winds are expected during Tuesday. Areas likely to be affected include parts of the Southern Tablelands, Snowy Mountains and Australian Capital Territory forecast districts. There is a risk of losses of lambs and sheep exposed to these conditions.
