Sheep graziers are warned that cold temperatures, rain and showers and westerly winds are expected during Friday and Saturday. Areas likely to be affected include parts of the Mount Lofty Ranges, Yorke Peninsula, Flinders, Mid North and Lower South East forecast districts. There is a risk of losses of lambs and sheep exposed to these conditions.

Strong Wind Warning for Lower West Coast, Central Coast, South Central Coast, Spencer Gulf, Gulf St Vincent, Investigator Strait and Upper South East Coast

DAMAGING NORTHWEST TO WESTERLY WINDS averaging 50 to 65 km/h with peak gusts in excess of 90 km/h are possible about the Flinders Ranges and parts of the North East Pastoral during this afternoon, temporarily easing early this evening before increasing again during the late evening. Winds are expected to ease below warning thresholds by Saturday afternoon.
DAMAGING WEST TO SOUTHWESTERLY WINDS averaging 55 to 65 km/h with peak gusts of around 90 km/h are possible in the west and central parts of the state during this afternoon and evening. Winds are expected to ease below warning thresholds from the west of the area during this evening, and through central parts during early Saturday morning.
Locations which may be affected include Marla, Coober Pedy, Roxby Downs, Leigh Creek, Oodnadatta and Marree.
Severe weather is no longer occurring in the Mount Lofty Ranges and Murraylands districts and the warning for these districts is CANCELLED.
