Severe thunderstorms are likely to produce large hailstones, damaging winds and heavy rainfall that may lead to flash flooding over the next several hours in the Wide Bay and Burnett, Southeast Coast and parts of the Central Highlands and Coalfields, Capricornia and Darling Downs and Granite Belt districts. Locations which may be affected include Warwick, Toowoomba, Brisbane, Dalby, Maroochydore, Gympie, Ipswich, Kingaroy, Cleveland, Gatton, Jimboomba and Caboolture. VERY DANGEROUS THUNDERSTORMS are likely to produce large, possibly giant hailstones, damaging, locally destructive winds and heavy rainfall that may lead to flash flooding over the next several hours in parts of the Capricornia, Wide Bay and Burnett, Darling Downs and Granite Belt, Southeast Coast and Central Highlands and Coalfields districts. Locations which may be affected include Gympie, Noosa Heads, Cherbourg, Gayndah, Eidsvold and Cooroy. 4 TO 5 CM HAIL REPORTED NEAR NANANGO AT APPROXIMATELY 5:10 PM. 3 TO 7 CM HAIL REPORTED AT REDCLIFFE APPROXIMATELY 3:00 PM. 5 TO 7 CM HAIL REPORTED AT LAIDLEY CREEK AT APPROXIMATELY 2:30 PM. 4 cm hail reported near Nanango at approximately 5:10 pm. 2 to 3 cm hail reported at Yarrabilba at approximately 3:50 pm. 3 cm hail reported at Peregian at 2:05 pm. 4 cm hail reported near Gatton at 1:50 pm.
