Severe thunderstorms are likely to produce damaging winds in the warning area over the next several hours. Locations which may be affected include Alice Springs and Hermannsburg.

          Maximum temperatures in the high thirties to low forties and overnight minimum temperatures in the mid to high twenties. These temperatures will contract to the Carpentaria and eastern Top End over the coming days as slightly milder temperatures extend across southern NT during Wednesday and Thursday. 

Severe heatwave conditions are expected to ease in the south from Wednesday and become confined to the Carpentaria and eastern Top End, before easing over the weekend.
