...FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL NOON EDT TODAY FOR CHARLESTON COUNTY... At 914 AM EDT, gauge reports and doppler radar indicated between 4 and 6 inches of rain fell earlier this morning. This rainfall has likely produced flooding in some areas, especially around Yonges Island. Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional rainfall is expected. HAZARD...Life threatening flash flooding. Thunderstorms producing flash flooding. SOURCE...Gauges reported. IMPACT...Life threatening flash flooding of creeks and streams, urban areas, highways, streets and underpasses. Some locations that will experience flash flooding include... Johns Island, Hollywood, Meggett and Yonges Island. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
