...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 915 AM MST THIS MORNING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...From Cordes Junction to Black Canyon City, for a portion
of west central Arizona, including the following county, Yavapai.

* WHEN...Until 915 AM MST.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in creeks and normally dry washes is
imminent or occurring. Dangerous flooding over low-water crossings.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 618 AM MST, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to slow
moving thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected
to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 0.75 and 1.25
inches of rain have fallen.
- This includes the following creeks, washes and rivers...
Castle Creek, Humbug Creek, Black Canyon Creek, the Agua Fria
River, and Sycamore Creek. Additional rainfall amounts of 0.5
to 1 inch are expected over the area. This additional rain
will result in minor flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Sunset Point Rest Area, Agua Fria National Monument, Black
Canyon City, Cordes Lakes, Horse Thief Basin, Spring Valley,
Humbug Bay, Coles Bay, Mayer, Castle Hot Springs, Goose Bay,
Lake Pleasant, Castle Creek Boat Ramp, Cottonwood Day Use
Area, Sunset Mountain, Chalk Mountain, Bumble Bee, Rock
Springs, Castle Creek Wilderness and Cordes Junction.
- This includes the following recreation areas and
campgrounds...
Turney Gulch Group Campground, Hazlett Hollow Campground and
Black Canyon Campground.

This includes the following highways...
State Route 69 between mile markers 263 and 270.
Interstate 17 between mile markers 242 and 266.
