...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 2 PM EDT MONDAY...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...South Central Alexander County in the piedmont of North
Carolina...
North Central Catawba County in the piedmont of North Carolina...
West Central Iredell County in the piedmont of North Carolina...

* WHEN...Until 200 PM EDT Monday.

* IMPACTS...River flows and lake levels are elevated.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 1021 AM EDT, After a 4 to 7 inch rain event in the headwaters
of the Catawba River, runoff has resulted in high flows and lake
pool elevations.  The Lookout Shoals Lake level will continue to
rise today possibly causing flooding of shorelines, lake access
areas, campgrounds, docks and residential yards. Caution is
advised in these areas.
- Residents are encouraged to heed guidance from local officials
and Emergency Management on any potential impacts to property.
