...RED FLAG WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 11 AM SATURDAY TO 9 PM
MDT SUNDAY FOR GUSTY WINDS, LOW HUMIDITY, AND POOR RECOVERIES FOR
FIRE WEATHER ZONES 420, 421, 422, 425, 426, AND 427...

* AFFECTED AREA...Fire weather zones 420 through 422 and fire
weather zones 425 through 427.

* WIND...During the daytime hours, west winds from 15 to 25 mph
with gusts up to 40 mph. Overnight, lighter southwest winds
of 5 to 15 mph.

* HUMIDITY...Daytime minimum RH between 5 and 10 percent on Saturday,
and between 10 and 15 percent on Sunday. Overnight recoveries
of 20 to 35 percent.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Isolated high-based showers will have the
potential to produce gusty and erratic winds along with a few
strikes of lightning without much, if any, rainfall during the
afternoon and evening hours both Saturday and Sunday.

* IMPACTS...Any fires that develop will likely spread rapidly.
Outdoor burning is not recommended.

A Red Flag Warning means that critical fire weather conditions
are either occurring now, or will shortly. A combination of
strong winds, low relative humidity, and warm temperatures can
contribute to extreme fire behavior.

WHEN...Noon Friday through Noon Monday

IMPACTS...Heavy smoke from distant wildfires

HEALTH INFORMATION...The Wyoming Department of Health recommends the
elderly, young children, and individuals with respiratory problems
avoid excessive physical exertion and minimize outdoor activities
during this time. Wildfire smoke is made up of a variety of
pollutants, including particulate matter and ozone, which can cause
respiratory health effect. Although these people are most
susceptible to health impacts, the Department of Health also advises
that everyone should avoid prolonged exposure to poor air quality
conditions.
