Portions of Merriman Parkway west of Abrams Road will flood. The parking lot and soccer fields at Moss Park will be completely flooded with several feet of water, and the Fair Oaks Softball and Baseball Complex near the high school will be flooded. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 9:15 AM CDT Thursday the stage was 71.9 feet. - Forecast...The river will rise above flood stage late this morning to 86.5 feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage late this afternoon to 71.9 feet late tonight. It will rise to 74.1 feet tomorrow morning. Dallas County in north central Texas... * WHEN...Until 100 PM CDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. Water over roadways. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 955 AM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Overflowing poor drainage areas will cause minor flooding in the advisory area. Up to 2 inches of rain have fallen, and another inch is possible. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Dallas, Plano, Garland, Mesquite, McKinney, Frisco, Richardson, Allen, Rowlett, Desoto, Cedar Hill, Wylie, Duncanville, Lancaster, Farmers Branch, Balch Springs and University Park.
