...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 11 PM EDT THIS EVENING... * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected. * WHERE...Central Baker County in northeastern Florida... Northwestern Duval County in northeastern Florida... Southwestern Nassau County in northeastern Florida... Southeastern Charlton County in southeastern Georgia... * WHEN...Until 1100 PM EDT. * IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 758 PM EDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly in the advisory area. Between 1 and 3.5 inches of rain have fallen. - Additional rainfall amounts of up to 1.5 inches are expected over the area. This additional rain will result in minor flooding. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... Callahan, Taylor, Macclenny, Glen St. Mary, St. George, Bryceville, Sanderson, Ratliff and Nassau Village-Ratliff. - http://www.weather.gov/safety/flood PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... ...FLOOD WATCH REMAINS IN EFFECT THROUGH MONDAY MORNING... * WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be possible. * WHERE...Portions of Florida, including the following areas, Baker, Coastal Duval, Coastal Nassau, Eastern Hamilton, Inland Nassau, Northern Columbia, South Central Duval, Trout River, Western Duval and Western Hamilton and southeast Georgia, including the following areas, Appling, Atkinson, Bacon, Brantley, Clinch, Coastal Camden, Coastal Glynn, Coffee, Echols, Inland Camden, Inland Glynn, Jeff Davis, Northeastern Charlton, Northern Ware, Pierce, Southern Ware, Wayne and Western Charlton. * WHEN...Through Monday morning. * IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations. Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - A Flood Watch is in effect due to the potential for localized to scattered rainfall amounts of 3 to 5 inches.
