...FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT THROUGH LATE THURSDAY NIGHT...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is possible.

* WHERE...A portion of northeast Iowa, including the following
counties, Buchanan, Delaware and Dubuque.

* WHEN...Through late Thursday night.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding may occur
in poor drainage and urban areas. Low-water crossings may be
flooded.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- Widespread rainfall is expected overnight tonight through
Thursday night, with rainfall totals between 2 to 3 inches in
less than 6 hours. There will be the potential for swaths of
rainfall greater than 3 inches as well in some areas. The
cumulative effects of this rainfall will result in rises along
area rivers, along with the potential for areal flooding as well.
