Yellow Warning - Snowfall

Snowfall with total amounts of 15 to 20 cm continues. Where: Whitehorse, South Klondike Highway - Carcross to White Pass, Teslin, Atlin, Haines Junction, Cassiar Mountains, Watson Lake, Muncho Lake Park - Stone Mountain Park. When: Now through late Monday morning. Additional information: A frontal system will bring snow to the southern Yukon tonight. The heaviest snowfall rates are expected overnight tonight into Monday morning, potentially impacting the Monday morning commute. Total snowfall accumulation of 15-20 cm are forecast. Locally higher amounts are possible, especially over Cassiar Mountain and Watson Lake regions. Snowfall combined with gusty northerly winds will generate reduced visibilities in drifting or blowing snow. Snow will ease late Monday morning. ### Travel will likely be challenging. Roads and walkways will likely be difficult to navigate due to accumulating snow. Visibility will likely be reduced at times.
