Yellow Advisory - Blowing Snow

Poor visibility in snow and blowing snow is expected in some locations. Hazard: Poor visibilities in blowing snow. Location: Lake Winnipeg South Basin and adjacent shore regions. Timing: Beginning early Wednesday through Wednesday afternoon. Remarks: A strong cold front surging south through the province will give strong northwest winds with gusts of 60 to 80 km/h beginning early Wednesday morning. These winds will combine with light snow to produce areas of near-zero visibility in blowing snow through the day. Conditions will improve by Wednesday evening. ### Travel will likely be hazardous due to near-zero visibility. Please continue to monitor alerts and forecasts issued by Environment Canada.
