Gale Warning for Far North West Coast, Central North Coast, Banks Strait and Franklin Sound, East of Flinders Island, Upper East Coast and South East Coast

DAMAGING WINDS averaging 55 to 65 km/h with peak gusts around 100 km/h are likely about King Island and northwestern Tasmania this morning, extending to parts of northeastern Tasmania including the Furneaux Islands this afternoon.
Winds are likely to ease but remain gusty for a period overnight into Saturday, before DAMAGING WINDS redevelop throughout the warning area including western Tasmania around sunrise.
Winds are expected to gradually ease below warning thresholds overnight into Sunday morning.
Locations which may be affected include Devonport, Strahan, Currie, Whitemark and Bridport.
