Snowfall on Thursday is expected to be heavy and may cause traffic problems.; What happens?: A snowfall area continues to affect central Sweden during New Year's Day. In several places it is expected to be abundant and until late evening it can give a total of 10-20 cm, locally up to 30 cm. During the evening the snowfall decreases in intensity but it will continue to snow for much of Friday. The wind will increase and from the evening it will be fresh easterly at times, from the night northeasterly.; What should I think about?: Travel times may increase due to slippery roads, poor visibility and blowing snow behind vehicles. The snowfall also continue into the day on Friday, but with somewhat reduced intensity.; What should I think about?: Consider not going out in traffic or be prepared that there is a risk of getting stuck.
