Prolonged, accumulating snowfall is occurring over some areas.

Locations: Parson's Pond - Hawke's Bay, and the higher terrain near White Bay.

Total snowfall: 15 to 20 cm, except 20 to 30 cm over the higher terrain near White Bay.

Time span: continuing until Sunday evening.

Remarks: Snow will accumulate steadily at light to moderate rates over an extended period, leading to potentially significant total amounts. 

Snow-covered surfaces may make travel slow or hazardous. Roads and walkways could become slippery and difficult to navigate.
