...FLOOD ADVISORY NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL NOON PST TODAY...

* WHAT...Small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall
continues.

* WHERE...A portion of northwest California, including the following
county, southwestern Humboldt.

* WHEN...Until noon PST.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Water over roadways.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 851 AM PST, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges
indicated heavy rain. This will cause small stream flooding.
Overflowing poor drainage areas will cause minor flooding in
the advisory area. Between 3 and 4 inches of rain have
fallen.
- Additional rainfall amounts of 0.2 to 0.5 inches are expected
over the area. This additional rain will result in minor
flooding.
- Some locations that will experience flooding include...
Honeydew, Petrolia and Capetown.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood

* WHAT...For the Coastal Flood Advisory, High astronomical tides
will cause minor to moderate flooding in low lying areas around
Humboldt Bay and along the coast. Up to one foot of saltwater
inundation above ground level is possible near shorelines and
tidal waterways. Between 9.0 and 9.3 feet MLLW at the North Spit
tide gauge is predicted.


* WHAT...For the Coastal Flood Watch, high astronomical tides and
large surf may cause moderate flooding in low lying areas along
the Redwood Coast. Up to one foot of saltwater inundation above
ground level is possible in low lying areas near shorelines and
tidal waterways. Between 9.0 and 9.5 feet MLLW at the North Spit
tide gauge is predicted.

* WHERE...Northern Humboldt Coast. This includes King Salmon, the
Arcata Bottoms and areas right on the waterfront in Eureka.
This may also impact Centerville Beach road.

* WHEN...For the Coastal Flood Advisory, from 9 AM to noon PST
Wednesday. For the Coastal Flood Watch, from Thursday morning
through Thursday afternoon. High tide is at 10:37 AM at the
Humboldt Bay North Spit tide gauge Wednesday and at 11:17 AM on
Thursday. Saltwater inundation will be possible 1 to 2 hours
before and after high tide.

* IMPACTS...Several coastal roads may be closed. Low lying
property and some critical infrastructure will be inundated.
Some shoreline erosion may occur.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Coastal Flood Watch means that flooding is possible but not
imminent. Coastal residents in the watch area should begin
preparations for rising water and take appropriate action to
protect life and property.

Feet Above Ground is locally defined as feet above the Highest
Astronomical Tide or HAT.

* WHAT...A strong Atmospheric River weather system continues to
bring widespread rainfall.

* WHERE...A portion of northwest California, including the following
areas, Coastal Del Norte, Del Norte Interior, Northern Humboldt
Coast and Northern Humboldt Interior.

* WHEN...Until noon PST today.

* IMPACTS...There will be an increased risk of rock and land slides
along roadways. Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
Creeks and streams may rise out of their banks. Flooding may occur
in poor drainage and urban areas.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- A strong Atmospheric River weather system continues to bring
widespread rainfall.
