Heavy rain and strong winds are expected. Rain will begin Friday morning for areas in the west then spread eastward toward the Saskatchewan border through Friday night. Total rainfall amounts are expected to range between 50 and 100 mm, however, some areas along the foothills could see closer to 150 mm by Sunday evening. Strong northerly winds will also develop on Saturday, with gusts as high as 60 to 80 km/h, particularly over southeastern Alberta. The strong winds combined with recent rainfall could result in trees being uprooted. ### Please continue to monitor alerts and forecasts issued by Environment Canada.
