...FLOOD ADVISORY IN EFFECT UNTIL 715 AM PDT THIS MORNING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall is expected.

* WHERE...A portion of southern California, including the following
county, Riverside.

* WHEN...Until 715 AM PDT.

* IMPACTS...Minor flooding in low-lying and poor drainage areas.
Rises in small streams and normally dry arroyos. Some low-water
crossings may become impassable.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- At 513 AM PDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain due to
thunderstorms. Minor flooding is ongoing or expected to begin
shortly in the advisory area. Between 0.5 and 1 inch of rain
has fallen.

Turn around, don't drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

...FLOOD WATCH IN EFFECT FROM 5 AM MST /5 AM PDT/ EARLY THIS MORNING
THROUGH LATE TONIGHT...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues to be
possible.

* WHERE...Portions of southwest Arizona, including the following
areas, Central La Paz, Gila River Valley, Kofa, Parker Valley and
Yuma and southeast California, including the following area, Palo
Verde Valley.

* WHEN...From 5 AM MST  /5 AM PDT/ early this morning through late
tonight.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
Low-water crossings may be flooded.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
- Abundant moisture has moved into southeast California and
southwest Arizona and this will help to bring scattered
thunderstorms producing heavy rainfall by late morning and
through the evening hours today. Localized rainfall amounts
of 1-2 inches are likely to occur.
