...BEACH HAZARDS STATEMENT REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 7 AM PST THIS
MORNING THROUGH LATE FRIDAY NIGHT...

* WHAT...West-northwest swell of 4 to 5 feet with a period of 14
to 15 seconds will generate surf of 4 to 6 feet with sets to 8
feet. Highest surf will be south of Del Mar this evening through
Friday. Elevated surf combined with high tides could lead to
minor tidal overflow.

* WHERE...San Diego County Coastal Areas.

* WHEN...From this morning through late Friday night.

* IMPACTS...Strong rip currents and hazardous swimming conditions
for inexperienced swimmers. Minor tidal overflow during high
tides.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...High tide at La Jolla today will be 6.97ft
at 8:34am. High tide Friday will be 6.87ft at 9:16am.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A beach hazards statement is issued when threats such as rip
currents and other hazards such as minor tidal overflow are
likely. Caution should be used when in or near the water.
